Metrum Institute G77 Utility

Metrum Institute provides a simple utility for installing G77 on Windows.

1. Download g77-2.95-mrg.zip and extract to a convenient location, such as c:\G77.
2. Recommended: calculate an md5 checksum for your downloaded file (try this if you don't have an md5 utility) and compare to our official md5 for version 2.95 .
3. Navigate to your G77 directory (e.g. c:\G77>) and enter "perl g77env.p" to set environment variables permanently. (g77setup.bat sets them temporarily.) Caution: g77env.p will modify the Windows Registry! We've made every effort to do this correctly, but use at your own risk.

g77-2.95-mrg.zip is mostly a redistribution of the Win32 binary version of GNU Fortran (G77) which can be found at http://members.tripod.com/kkourakis/, or at ftp://ftp.globomaxnm.com/Public/nonmem/g77/. We added g77env.p to help with the environment variables. You can install the orginal version yourself, but if you are planning to use it with NMQual, be sure to set the two environment variables permanently (see documentation for PATH and LIBRARY_PATH).
